The glass shade sits on top of the metal disk that is held in place by the original bakelite socket. The fixture includes its unique, original two-part ceiling mount system, designed for a secure vintage installation.
The light has been tested and works here in Belgium on a 220/240 system. The wire has been replaced, and the socket looks to be in good shape. We recommend the use of an electrician to make sure it meets all of the safety norms of your country.
The condition of this unique lamp is good, with no major damage or repairs. It does have natural wear, like scratches and discoloration, that you would expect from vintage lighting. See detailed pictures
