Stunning brass lion door knocker from an old manor house in Brussels estimated from the early 20th century. This is such an impressive antique door knocker and a unique find. We see these massive lion knockers on very old buildings in historic towns like Gent and Brussels so to find one was pretty exciting.

-2 threaded mounting screws 8 cm (3.1") long that screw in the back of the lion and then go through the door.

All other items in the picture are not included and are just used to showcase the product.
We were able to drill out the back screws that had rusted and retaped a new modern thread. We included 2 modern 8 cm (3.14") bolts with nuts. Please note to mount this door knocker with the back bolts they go through the door and get bolted on the inside. Hanging this door knocker with the back mounting system should be done by someone who is handy especially if it's on your front door.
The condition of this lion head door knocker is good with no major damage or repairs. It has some natural wear that you would expect from vintage and antique door knockers. We cleaned the lion knocker with some mild soap and kept the lovely patina. Please see the detailed pictures.
