Wall Mounted Bell

Large bronze or brass bell from a Belgium monastery. A wall mounted bell that is vintage around the early mid century, or possibly antique. In its time of service, it would have been used in the monasteries, or as a church bell and school bell. Nowadays such an impressive bell would complement our modern and French decor, perhaps use as a unique dinner bell or an interesting antique door bell.

The bell is made of what seems like solid brass but could also be bronze. It is decorated with images of animals and Latin text. The text surrounding the bell reads: Vocem Meam Audit Qui Me Tangit translated "whoever touches me will hear my voice."

This bell includes a matching wall-mounted bracket that can easily be hung on a hook. The chain is long with a nice pull and both are made of brass/bronze. This monastery bell is large and makes a beautiful loud sound.
