Hand Painted Hanging Light

Very unique hand-painted hanging light found in Belgium is estimated to date early to mid-century. The glass shade sits on top of the metal disk that is held in place by the original bakelite socket.

The two-part top that mounts to the ceiling is original and can be used to attach this vintage light to the ceiling. Attach the one part to the ceiling, bringing the wires through and connecting them to the light, and then screwing the two parts together. 

The light has been tested and works here in Belgium on a 220/240 system. The wire has been replaced and the socket looked to be in good shape. We recommend the use of an electrician to make sure it meets all of the safety norms of your country.
 
The condition of this unique lamp is good with no major damage or repairs. It does have natural wear like scratches and discoloration that you would expect from vintage lighting. See detailed pictures
