Meissen Male Lion Sculpture

This Gorgeous Meissen lion sculpture was found in Brugge-Belgium dating early to mid-20th century. This unique find is made of earthenware with a light matte black finish and has the German mark Teichert Werke Meissen. This highly collectible male lion animal figurine is the perfect item for modern or vintage decor.

The condition of this lion figurine is good with no damage or repairs. It does have natural wear in areas and a couple of small imperfections on the edge of the base. The lion was very dirty and we gave it a good clean with a special cleaning product. As you can see from the pictures we did not get all of the grime out of the lion's mane and around the eyes but that shows his age and can always be cleaned better if desired.
