Brass Hanging Bell

Farmhouse decor solid brass hanging bell discovered in Belgium estimated mid-20th century. The text on the brass bell in Latin reads leo pelicanus angelus bos, translated "the lion pelican an angel" These wall-mounted bells are a great addition to modern or vintage home decor.

With its solid brass design, Bells like this would have hung on the outside of houses and were also used as church bells. Farmers also had these so customers could ring the bell while working in the field. They also make a great dinner bell to call the kids when food is ready.
