Coat of Arms Collectible Plate

The plate is marked on the back G or J Metten and has a crown stamp. It was likely made in Belgium. The coat of arms looks to be Belgium or French yet hard to say for sure. It is an impressive plate that is heavy-duty with lots of character. The relief is nicely detailed with a crown and lions raised above the plate.

This plate is estimated as vintage pewter from around the 1930s to 1950s. The simple black wooden stand is not original to the pewter plate. It was added to display this unique plate since there is no hanging hook on the back.
