Antique Mortar and Pestle

We found this great-looking antique pharmacy mortar and pestle in Antwerpen-Belgium. Both the mortar and pestle are solid brass and are very heavy. The top of the mortar has the inscription "LEEFTE VERWINT AL DINCK ANNO 1590"

The prior owner said they found them years ago at an antique shop in Antwerp that sold lots of bronze and brass antiques. They did not know how old the items are so if I had to guess I would say possibly 1940's but for all, we know it's from 1590.

The condition of this mortar pestle is good with no major damage or repairs. It does have some natural wear like scratches and discoloration that you would expect from pieces like this. See detailed pictures.
